Dr. Cynthia Jones-Nosacek's Favorite Quote

According to Trent Horn’s great book, What the Saints Never Said: Pious Misquotes and the Subtle Heresies They Teach You, this quotation of St. Ignatius of Loyola is a misquotation. He lists a number of quotations that are sorta, kinda similar…and since the great saint wrote in a Spanish dialect called Basque - it’s even more unclear.

Horn also says it’s possible the founder of the Methodist Church, John Wesley said it, maybe St. Ignatius of Loyola implied it…in either case - it’s a great little piece of advice.
